Back Aesthetics
Back aesthetics, although often ignored or put in the background, actually has a very important place in body aesthetics. An attractive back structure and back cleavage contribute a lot to a beautiful appearance. The most common problem in the back region is the wide and coarse appearance in this area. Actually, a large part of this is due to excessive lubrication of the back region.
When we say the back region; we can think of it as the area of both shoulder blades, the area between the shoulder blades, the area extending towards the nape of the neck, the area extending down to the waist indent, and the area extending from both breasts to the armpit. As seen, it actually covers a very wide area. These regions are very suitable areas for fat accumulation and expansion. Of course, bone structure, shoulder width, and rib cage width are also important, but the area we can intervene in is the thickness of the subcutaneous fat tissue. In most cases, especially fat removal in the areas over the shoulder blades and armpits makes a significant visual reduction in the width of the back region and satisfies our patients quite a bit.
The back region can be structurally wide. Actually, one of the reasons for lubrication in this region may be an inadequate previous abdominal liposuction procedure. Inadequate fat removal procedures, if calorie intake is not taken care of afterwards, can cause lubrication in different areas, especially in the back and nape regions.
Fat removal operations in this area are also quite important in body shaping and the patient should definitely be given an opinion about this. LASER, VASER, and POWER liposuction have offered very facilitating technologies in liposuction procedures in this area. Because the skin of this region is thick, the connective tissue is strong. It is really difficult to separate, break down and pull the fat tissue in this region. For this reason, laser, ultrasound, or mechanical vibrator devices make our work quite easy. Without these, shaping this region is very, very difficult and I think it will even be inadequate. Since it is a difficult and wide region, I usually offer to allocate a separate operation session to this region. If the patient has no time constraints and having another operation will not be a burden for them, it will be much more effective.
For this region, the use of a corset after the operation is again necessary. A shower can be taken from the 3rd day on. Bruising is seen more frequently in my procedures in this region, but it is not important because most of them will have passed within about 10 days. One can return to routine daily life the next day. Active sports are banned for about 4 weeks.
